Sunanda Kumar is an Indian Clothing business owned and run by three generations of women. Founded in 2003 by mother-daughter duo Sunanda and Promila, who combined their skills and knowledge in fashion and design to create a business that celebrates the traditional and modern elements of Indian wear for their customer base in New Jersey.

In 2020, the family business was joined by the next generation when Sunanda’s daughter Ekta joined the business. Ekta brought her own unique perspective and design sensibilities to the business, helping to expand the company’s reach and appeal into the bridalwear for a younger demographic.

Today, Sunanda Kumar is still family-run, with each of the three generations working together to create beautiful, modern bridal-wear. They specialize in bridal lehengas, gown, anarkalis, shararas, and sarees and use only the finest fabrics and embellishments sourced from all over India. They also offer a custom ordering service, which allows customers to create their own unique bridal look.
